In orissa we do conduct various camps especially for the aged those who suffer from Cataract .The aged group are very much inclined to chew tobbacco and cigarettes as a result they suffer from Cataract.But with the aid of the Govt of Orissa various Eye hospitals used to conduct eye surgeries freely at the Base hospital.The switchers and IOLs were provided freely.Even the medicines were provided freely.This was done bt Sradhanjali charitable Trust which is registered as Trust u/s12AA and 80G where they have made eye cataract operations without any cost.Many supporting agency were also keen to achieve this noble project.But the only problem here there is no support for free distribution of spectacles but the patients were happy with the aid of VO and they were not reluctant to buy spectacles for operating their eyes.
